She was standing alone in church Sunday. I know that she is battle weary. She is a mom at war, fighting for a daughter who has been led astray. We have been praying, she and I, believing that a rescue is going to happen. My faith is strong, she is tired, I have been there.
We are standing and singing, "Blessed be the Name of the Lord, when the darkness closes in Lord, still I will say, blessed be the name of the Lord . . . "
The Lord whispers to my heart, "Go to her, and lift her hand and praise with her. So I go around the pew and standing in the aisle, I take her right hand with my left and lift our hands to the sky. I am shaking with strength and faith and I feel it infuse her. Instantly, four hands, the hands of my sister and I are raised in unity and we praise and sing together, because He is worthy!!!
The song ends, I look in her eyes, shake my head yes, embrace her and plant a small sisterly kiss above her ear.
I return to the place beside my husband.
We are sisters, fighting together, believing, together, praising together! And we will see the salvation of the Lord!
Yes, we will! I know that we will!!!
Praise the Lord!!!

Oh it is so hard to pray and wait and pray more for our children. It is a mothers love that will keep her on her knees. It is awesome that you listened to the 'small voice' of the Lord. You gave her a much needed gift, of friendship and love.
