Ask, Seek, Knock

What have you been asking for lately?

Have you asked for a great marriage?

Well behaved children?

An organized household?

Perhaps you are thinking a new home, a new car, or maybe even a new dress would be nice.

What is on your want list.

Have you petitioned the One who has everything to give? He is generous, you know. Have you asked Him about these things on  your mind and heart?


What have you sought after lately?

Have your fingers rustled through the well worn pages of your Bible to find a daily word from God?

Have you surrendered to a face-down position on the floor determined to hear a Divine voice?

Has your voice soared to the heavens, floating over rainbows, dancing across meadows to worship with heart, soul, and mind?

Have you humbled yourself with fasting?

What are you seeking?

Will it be there in eternity with you?

Where are you knocking?

Are you knocking on the door of heaven pleading for a deeper understanding of the promises?

Have you waited outside the door of a lonely soul who needs to hear a word of hope?

Has a Holy voice led you to a shadowy land with a command from the heart of God that you are compelled to obey?


Prayer ... making our requests known to God

               making our heart available to God

                surrendering our hearts for God ...
