Vision

My prayer is bold

full of faith

My children's destiny

is at stake ...

I petition heaven

with hearty cries

until

I see the answer

on the horizon

it has taken flight

and is on its way ...

My patience grows

as it nears

vagueness of vision

begins to clear

The fog that brought my

heart despair,

hiding the future,

stirring fear,

has packed its bag

and is leaving town ...

My blindness gone,

hopelessness flees ...

With this word

my heart begins to sing ...

"For they will be called

oaks of righteousness,

a planting of the Lord

for the display of His splendor ..."

My children will be

strong as an oak

unshaken by the wind

standing firm in the darkness

set apart for Him

They will be dressed

in His righteousness alone,

displaying His beauty

for His glory ...

The day will come when

I will see what I have believed ...

This prayer will be answered ...

I see, I see through the haze of now

and rest in what will be ...

Isaiah 61:3b "They shall be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor."

  2. Dear Joy,
I prayed that verse (from memory) for my children on Sunday morning, then I saw it in the Word on Monday morning. I felt like the Spirit had brought it to my mind to pray. I love the words "they shall be". Those words empowered me to believe for what is in my children's future! I want it for them now! But I am trusting that the Lord can and will lead them to repentance. He has done it for me!!!

I will be praying for your nephew, dear Joy. A prodigal can bring such sorrow, but we must never lose hope.

When our son was so far from right, I prayed that the devil would be sorry for ever touching this family and I asked the Lord to make him return 100 fold of everything he had even tried to steal from us.

The Lord has been faithfully answering that prayer! Thank you, Jesus!

    I love you, Joy!

    Cheri
