My three youngest have been on a quest for years to find my favorite song. I wonder if they ever think about it now. Many times I would hear one of them say, "Mom, I found your favorite song." I would always stop and listen to the chosen tune. I admit, sometimes they were just teasing me. The song would be ridiculous, chosen just to make us both laugh. Sometimes they were sharing a song they truly loved and thought I would enjoy too. Whichever the case, I loved this little game that we used to play.
I didn't think I had a favorite song ... I love a million songs. It would be hard to place one at the very top of a mile long list, but if I was pressed to do so, this would be my choice. I have loved this song for many years and I will love it for many more. When I hear it my heart immediately becomes a prayer chamber, my soul bows, and I usually weep a river of tears.
My prayer for 2011 and for the rest of my days here on earth would be the words of this song.
