It is confidence that breeds courage. Confidence that believes what the Lord has spoken is true. Joshua and Caleb had confidence in what the Lord had spoken to them . They really believed His promises. They believed in his faithfulness. Their confidence in Him was the bedrock for their courage to rise so that they were able to stand up under pressure . . . peer pressure and circumstantial pressure. Confidence in the Lord breeds courage.
"In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength . . ."
Isaiah 30:15
"Lord, we are confident in You! We rest in Your promises. We can be sure of You!"
